Job description

Financial Controller is responsible for controlling and accounting (reporting direct to the Swedish financial manager) of a Swedish manufacturing company, with most operations located in Ostrov u Stříbra. Financial Controller is currently seated in Sweden, but the position is planned to be moved to the Czech Republic in a few months, according to gradual move of production activities from Sweden to the Czech Republic.

Controlling tasks are done personally by Financial Controller. It includes monthly reports, quarterly forecasts, budget, financial analyses and other financial tasks.

Substantial part of accounting work is provided by Shared Services Centre (also located in Ostrov u Stříbra), Financial Controller helps to coordinate and structure accounting procedures on a continuous basis. Important part of the role is good understanding and co-responsibility for correctness of production- and inventory-related data (material in stock, WIP, FG).

Key Responsibilities


- Continuous correctness of accounting data, maintenance of chart of accounts
- Monthly, quarterly and yearly closings and reporting, forecasts, budget, regular and ad-hoc analyses
- Data for external purposes (VAT declarations, financial statistics)

Applicant qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements

- University degree in Finance/Accounting
- Five years experience in international production company
- Background in controlling with strong link to accounting, or vice versa
- High level of English language
- Experience with international ERP system
- Understanding of IFRS
- Willingness to learn, ability to learn quickly
- Readiness to travel internationally
